BHO Legal took active part in the IQPC Space Systems and Security Conference

Dr. Ingo Baumann of BHO Legal made a presentation on the current status of the Galileo Program and the related questions of liability at the 3rd IQPC Space Systems and Security Conference in Berlin-Potsdam, Germany. From 25th to 27th of May, leading experts from ESA, EDA, GSA, ESPI, NATO and German Air Force discussed the latest developments in the European Space Policy, the requirements and architecture for the European System for Space Surveillance, the future role of NATO in space operations, the security dimension of GMES as well as new technologies and dual-use applications in Earth Observation. The conference provided an excellent overview on the synergies between civilian and military space programs and highlighted the increasing role of space in military activities.
