BHO Legal organises Legal Session at Munich Satellite Navigation Summit
As every year, BHO Legal organised the Legal Session of the Munich Satellite Navigation Summit, which took place from 25 to 27 March 2019.
Christoph Kautz from the European Commission, DG Grow spoke about the legislative basis for regulatory acts on the mandatory use of Galileo and EGNOS. Dr Souichirou Kozuka, from Gakushuin University, Tokio (Japan), reported about liability aspects for the Japanese QSZZ system, which recently started its operational services. Dr Dejian Kong, representing the China National Administration of GNSS and Applications (CNAGA), informed about the legal framework for downstream applications using the Chinese Beidou system. Prof Dr Lesley Jane Smith, from Leuphana University, Luneburg (Germany), gave an overview of Brexit and its implications for aerospace industry, especially for companies involved in the European GNSS programme. The presentations and panel discussion were very well received by the conference participants.
