BHO Legal at INSPIRE-Geospatial World Forum

The INSPIRE-Geospatial World Forum 2015 will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from May 25 to 29. The Forum is a premier global geospatial industry event, this year focusing on the convergence of policies, geospatial technologies and practices. It will bring together policy and industry leaders with practitioners and clients of geospatial technologies and INSPIRE.

BHO Legal attorney Dr. Ingo Baumann will be contributing to the INSPIRE- Geospatial World Forum with a presentation and a legal workshop co-organized with Kevin Pomfret, director of the US Centre for Spatial Law and Policy. The presentation takes place on Wednesday 28, in a session on geospatial policies. The presentation “The International and European Legal Framework for Geospatial Data and Services” will provide a summary of the diverse international instruments and initiatives governing geospatial data and services) as well as the European legal framework. The subsequent legal workshop will provide insight into the most critical legal issues in global geospatial industry, such as open data policies, licensing, privacy, warranty and liability. Mr. Baumann’s presentation deals with the topic “Guaranteeing data delivery, quality and suitability by SLA”. The workshop will end with a round table discussion between the speakers.
