European Parliament votes in favour of new GSA Regulation
On 12 March 2014, the European Parliament voted in favour of the amendments to the GSA regulation. Most prominently, the amendment emphasises and strengthens the strict separation between the security accreditation of operations within the GSA (as implemented by the Security Accreditation Board) and to other activities of the Agency as foreseen by the Galileo and EGNOS programmes, including delegates tasks. Moreover, the amended regulation will be in line with the principles established by the Common Approach of the European institutions for decentralised agencies.
