Galileo- Legal issues continue to gain attention

Munich, 11 March 2010. For the second consecutive year legal issues make up a considerable part of the panel discussions of the highly acclaimed annual Munich Satellite Navigation Summit. Discussed were up to date topics such as privacy and data protection of location based data and services among others with participation of Bavaria’s former Prime Minister, Dr. Günter Beckstein, as honorable panel member (Session 8) as well as issues concerning knowledge and technology transfer (Session 5) as well as GNSS and IPR GNSS (Session 9), chaired by BHO Legal founding partner, Dr. Oliver Heinrich. All legal sessions were followed with great interest by the audience underlining the general importance of adequate regulations in the many areas of commercial endeavours but also everyday life which Galileo has the potential to significantly influence if not change.
