ESA Ministerial Council 2016
The ESA Ministerial Council took place in Lucerne, Switzerland on 1 and 2 December 2016. The meeting aimed to define ESA’ objectives based on the vision of a United Space in Europe in the era of Space 4.0. Decisions were taken on 30 different programmes covering all domains of space activities. Financial resources totalling around 10.3 billion euro were awarded.
The main decisions taken at the Council meeting are laid down in the following resolutions:
– Towards Space 4.0 for a United Space in Europe
– Level of resources for the Agency’s mandatory activities 2017–2021
– Guiana Space Centre (CSG) for the period 2017–2021
– ESA programmes: outlook and way forward.
