EARSC Position Papers on GMES/Copernicus

The European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC) has recently published two position papers related to the GMES/Copernicus programme. 

EARSC is the European organization which coordinates and promotes activities of their members in the area of services based on the delivery of geo-information products.

The first position papers expresses the views of industry both towards the overall GMES/Copernicus governance and the role that industry should play.

The second paper concerns the Data Policy for GMES/Copernicus which provides for free and open access to GMES/Copernicus data and services.

In both documents, EARSC raises a number of critical aspects of concern for the European Remote Sensing industry and claims for a stronger role of in the decision-making processes.
