FAO launches Global Land Cover SHARE database

A database on global land cover has been launched by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) – Global Land Cover SHARE database. It standardizes data and information from various sources. By using internationally accepted definitions it provides data and information that could be used all over the world for land use forecast and climate change impact monitoring.
