Full Title: G8 Open Data Charter
Adopted: June 2013

Based on the G8 Open Data Charter of 2013, the G8 member states plan to orientate their own government data to a position of openness by default. They recognise that open data made available free of charge has great value to society at large. An implementation plan to enact the general position of openness at national level will be put in place by 2015 at the latest.
