March 2018, the European Commission has published the first <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/docsroom\/documents\/28325\/attachments\/1\/translations\/en\/renditions\/native\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Radio Navigation Plan (ERNP)<\/a>. The ERNP captures the characteristics of Europe&#8217;s radio navigation landscape. It provides an inventory of existing and emerging radio navigation systems, foreseen modernisation plans, details user requirements, lists key stakeholders and gives an overview of the relevant EU legislation concerning radio navigation.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative follows the European Commission&#8217;s commitment to \u201crelease a European radio navigation plan to facilitate the introduction of global navigation satellite system applications in sectoral policies\u201d in line with what was set out in the &#8220;Space Strategy for Europe&#8221;. With this in mind, the overall objective of this ERNP is to inform policy-makers and stakeholders of the potential pathways for various sectors in Europe to take full advantage of Europe&#8217;s GNSS: Galileo and EGNOS.<\/p>\n<p>The ERNP is available under:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/docsroom\/documents\/28325\/attachments\/1\/translations\/en\/renditions\/native\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ec.europe.eu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 12.
