From 2 to 4 June, experts and companies in the field of cutting-edge satellite-based applications met in Paris for the Global Space Applications Conference (GLAC 2014), which brought together the global satellite-based services stakeholders, including senior representatives of the major space agencies, industry, governments, academia and NGOs. <\/p>\n
The comprehensive programme included high-level round tables and technical sessions that addressed the most recent achievements in satellite-based applications and explore how industry, politics, and law will help shape the future environment for this exciting domain of astronautics. <\/p>\n
In this context, BHO Partner Dr Ingo Baumann held a presentation on the national laws and procedures for ITU filings, which focused on the national obligations of the member states and on the common building blocks of the legislation in the major space-faring states. <\/p>\n
