UAS design that Amazon will use for research and development and crew training. Amazon says it wants to use drones for the delivery of packages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">The FAA typically issues experimental certificates to manufacturers and technology developers to operate a UAS that does not have a type certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Under the provisions of the certificate, all flight operations must be conducted within the limits of 400 feet during daylight hours in visual meteorological conditions. The UAS must always remain within visual line-of-sight of the pilot and observer.
