At least four of the six test site organizations may have relied on the use of restricted military airspace for their test flights. This expectation may now be cut short as in fact not the Department of Defence (DoD) but the FAA is responsible to decide on the non-military use even of military of airspace in times it is not reserved for the DoD\u2019s military use.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin\" lang=\"EN\">Such agency ambiguities are just another example of the many obstacles manufacturers and operators are facing in the long way of introducing UAS for use in non-restricted airspace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin\" lang=\"EN\">For more information see: https:\/\/www.insidegnss.com\/node\/3975<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) moved towards limiting the use of military airspace under its responsibility which may heavily impact on some of the six test site managers who were chose last year to work on a project for introducing unmanned aerial systems into the (US) National Airspace Systems.
