Zuvor hatte der Rat der Europ\u00e4ischen Union am 14. Juni 2013 das Europ\u00e4ische Parlament um Zustimmung gebeten. Die reformierte Fassung des GPA wird in Kraft treten, wenn zwei Drittel der Mitglieder das \u00dcbereinkommen ratifiziert haben.
