With the European Patent Office (EPO) as a new partner, the competition is supported by the most relevant European institutional stakeholder in this field. Its new special prize wants to support inventors to gain recognition while helping them to protect ideas and to encourage innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Innovators can find further information and submit their entries until 7 July 2013 at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epo.galileo-masters.eu\/\">www.epo.galileo-masters.eu<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\">About the EPO Special prize<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The European Patent Office (EPO) is looking for recently granted and valid European patents and will recognise the best patented innovation based on its high economic potential, strong technological impact, and outstanding benefits for today&#8217;s society. The winner will be shortlisted and presented to the jury tasked with compiling a list of 15 total finalists (in five different categories) for the prestigious European Inventor Award 2014. If nominated, the winner will be included in a Europe-wide publicity campaign and get dedicated marketing support including integration in high-ranking media partnerships, e.g. with CNN, Financial Times. In addition, the winner and two runners-up will receive an economic study (valued at approx. EUR 5,000) on the market potential of their patent in the corresponding field of technology.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\">About the ESNC<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) is an international innovation competition calling for services, products, and business innovations that use satellite navigation in everyday life. Under the motto &quot;Take the Next Step with Your Business Case&quot;, individuals and teams of entrepreneurs from industry, research, and universities can benefit from cooperating with partner regions worldwide and a number of key stakeholders &#8211; including the European Patent Office. The year\u2019s prize pool is worth EUR 1 million including cash, coaching, patent consulting, prototyping and marketing support, access to customers and user communities, and publicity in the world\u2019s leading satellite navigation network.
