Dr Leisten concentrates on German and international contract law, insolvency law and product liability law. In addition, he advises on export control law, corporate law and real estate law. He also has experience in advising international investors in M&A transactions.

Dr Leisten studied law at the Universities of Cologne (Germany) and Lausanne (Switzerland).
Following his bar exam he graduated with a Ph.D. at the University of Jena at the chair of Professor Dr Walter Bayer. The doctoral thesis dealt with corporate law and EU-law. He started his career as a lawyer at the international law firm Bird & Bird LLP in Munich and Frankfurt advising in corporate law, insolvency law and real estate law. He then took a position at a large DAX-listed energy company.
