Mr Aeneas Niklas Marxen joined BHO Legal as attorney-at-law in February 2024 and specialises in advising on public procurement and contract law as well as state aid and grant law. He studied law at the Free University of Berlin, the Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago de Chile and the Université de Strasbourg. He also obtained a Master of Laws in European Business Law at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). Aeneas Niklas Marxen has more than two years of professional experience in public procurement law, which he gained in two law firms (BHO Legal and Eichler Kern Klein). During this time, he was involved in both large and small procurement procedures with a wide range of different contract objects. His tasks often included dealing with construction contracts and IT services.

During his legal clerkship, he worked in the European law departments of state aid law and litigation at the Federal Ministry of Economics, at the law firm GSK Stockmann and in the legal department of a parliamentary group in the Berlin House of Representatives.
